💭 The Real Reason I Chose UI/UX
Before clients overseas or a shiny portfolio, I had three very simple goals:
- Pay my ₹2,000 EMI
- Recharge my ₹799 WiFi
- Order a ₹299 pizza on Saturday nights — without guilt
No luxury, no dream office. Just dignity.
But for the longest time, even that felt like a reach.
💸 That Monthly Pressure Is Real
You know what I’m talking about.
You open your banking app and your stomach tightens.
You hesitate to order food — even when you’re tired and hungry.
Your parents ask about work, and you fake a smile.
Your friends make weekend plans, and you make excuses.
You’re not lazy.
You’re not lost.
You’re just stuck in that space between *trying* and *surviving*.
That’s where I was too.
🧭 Why I Chose UI/UX (and Not Something Else)
I tried everything. Seriously.
- Coding? Gave me a headache
- Dropshipping? Too unstable
- YouTube/Instagram? Not my style
Then one day I opened Figma.
It was free.
It made sense.
Your parents ask about work, and you fake a smile.
I started designing fake apps, fixing ugly websites, and posting my work online.
It was nothing special at first. But I stayed consistent.
And then… my first client messaged me.

That client asked for a basic landing page redesign.
I did it in Figma.
Sent it over.
They loved it.
Paid ₹1,200.
You know what I did next?
I paid my WiFi bill.
That little green light on the router?
It hit different that day.
“This bill is paid with my own skill. Not someone else’s favour.”
That’s when I knew — I just needed to repeat this.
